Flooring Contract Site Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To project manage all onsite activities, liaising with the client in order to complete flooring contract in line with customer requirements and to budget. Manage onsite resources to ensure delivery to timescales, work quality, health and safety, deliveries to site. Developing relationships and creating forward opportunities with onsite Quantity surveyors and contract managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of specific flooring projects nationally as agreed with flooring manager
• Attend Pre Contract award meetings
• Liaise with Client to deliver work packages to agreed time-scales
• Manage resources onsite to ensure highest quality of workmanship is maintained and to ensure works are in line with agreed work packages
• Project control and reporting; measurement of works, attend site meetings, quality of works, health and safety of works, resource requirements, contract resource wages, reporting daily/weekly of progress internally and to client, seek agreements to variation orders onsite, attend pre let meetings
• Supplier ordering and delivery in line with contract timeline
• Ensure good customer relationship management processes and information management practices are in place with each client
• Work with the engineering installation and project management teams to develop appropriate solutions to meet customer needs
• Project a professional and competent image of Avonline at all times
• Operate at all times in accordance with health and safety at work legislation
• Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post, which might reasonably be required

• Worked in a similar management or Supervisory role previously

Flooring Fitter

Due to continued expansion Avonline plc one of the UK’s leading Field Service providers Companies is looking to recruit experienced Floor Fitters to join our Flooring Division

Experience in:
Vinyl-Safety Flooring, Marmoleum, Rubber, Commercial Carpet, Soft and Hardwood Flooring, Acoustic, Sports Halls, Resin.
We also require fitters for Hygienic wall coverings such as white-rock.

Must have experience working on large contracts and has at least 5 years experience and possess a clean driving license

Quantity Surveyor

Reports to: Operations director
Business: Commercial Flooring, Screed, Under floor heating and Raised Access flooring contractor
Primary purpose:
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be expected to take the lead on all live contracts for the valuations, Variations, contract negotiations and Final account resolutions. The successful Quantity Surveyor will have a commercial builder background and/or experience working on all types of standard contracts both new build and refurbishment. You will possess knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC / JCT).

Key Responsibilities

• Performing risk and value management
• Advising on procurement strategy;
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
• Analysing costing for tenders;
• Providing advice on contractual claims;
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
• valuing completed work and arranging payments;
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Cost Control or projects/ contracts
• Preparing and submitting final accounts
• Control of additional works/ variations
• Contract Invoicing verification
Professional Skills/ Experience: • Worked in a similar role previously for a tier 1 or 2 builder
• Experience in contract terminology.

Remuneration package:

Hours of work – 40 Hrs based on working 5 day week (Monday-Friday)
Salary range – Depending on experience + car allowance or company car
PRP – £0-8K Annual performance bonus paid Quarterly. Based on achieving monthly team
targets which will consist of Budgeted revenue and Margin targets.
Fuel Benefit – Business miles as per Government guidelines paid via agreed expenses
Holiday – 20 days annual holiday.
Location – Bristol (this is a national role and is primarily based in Bristol)
