  • Description

Christchurch Primary School in Burton on Trent is a new a 315-child school constructed in 2013 to replace a smaller local 1970s school. Because of its inner city location – currently dominated by Victorian terraced housing and industrial units. The new building is a three-story concrete structure, complete with a rooftop play area and balconies open to the elements, fronted by a ‘metal-faced organic cladding system’.

Avonline Flooring was appointed to supply and install flooring for the entire school, including kitchens, sports hall, classrooms, corridors and a dance studio.

The school’s design incorporated raised access flooring, with underfloor heating, so Avonline Flooring had to
wait until all other trades had completed their work before they could begin. Despite very tight timetables
Avonline Flooring completed the work to schedule.
