New J3 Library and Social Housing Accommodation
Bristol City Council and Knightstone Housing
New J3 library and social housing accommodation
South West - Bristol
October 2012 to March 2013
The new Junction 3 library forms part of a wider £10 million pound partnership between Bristol City Council,
Knightstone Housing and the Big Lottery Community Libraries Programme. In addition to the new library, the
partnership has constructed 59 affordable homes, seven commercial units and a new public open space on the J3
site, close to Junction 3 of the M32 in inner Bristol. The striking design of the buildings and their high profile location has made this one of the city’s most prestigious and high profile regeneration schemes.
Avonline Flooring supplied and installed the flooring for all three blocks of residential accommodation plus the library and office block. The intensive programme of works saw Avonline Flooring teams working in all of these buildings at the same time in order to complete the work to schedule.
A wide range of materials were used including carpet, carpet tiles, vinyl flooring, marmoleum, rubber, luxury vinyl tiles and entrance matting
