  • Description

The new headquarters for the St. Austell Printing Company (SAPC), at Carclaze overlooking St Austell Bay, is part of a £6m flasgship development which also includes workshop, studio and office premises for other local businesses. The buildings are finished in a contemporary cedar cladding with full glazed frontages, and have been constructed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating – the leading and most-widely used environmental assessment method for buildings.

Assessment is judged against a wide range of criteria including materials and waste, energy performance, transport, construction management, water consumption, health and wellbeing. Avonline Flooring supplied and fitted the flooring materials for three floors of offices overlooking the printing pit. Despite a very tight construction schedule, Avonline Flooring completed the work on time.
